Sedona Packing List
We are soon going to be heading out west to Sedona, Arizona. It will be a nice change of scenery to see the desert, mountains and red rock buttes that the area is so famous for. I have heard from so many people that it is a truly magical place due to color of the rock formations and the energy vortexes. (jury is still out for me on that last part but I’m trying to remain open-minded…)
My cousin and his wife are meeting us out there for a couple of days and we’ll also get to see some friends who recently moved to Phoenix, so it will be nice to have time both to ourselves and with friends and family.
Neither my husband nor I have ever been to Sedona, so it will be fun to explore a new area together. I mentioned earlier that I have been plotting out all of the things we need to do / see while we’re there, and I think we have a pretty good game plan at this point:
- Grand Canyon
- Hiking / trails
- Jeep tour of the vortexes
- Red Rock and Slide Rock State Parks
- Oak Creek Canyon
- Native American Reservations
- Verde Valley
- Spa day
If you have any suggestions, I’d love to hear them.
As for packing…Sedona is a very casual place and the weather will be warm, so I’ve packed plenty of shorts, blouses and comfy shoes. (obsessed with my Supergas)
For the trails we’ve got new hiking shoes, wide-brimmed hats, water bottles and my trusty light-weight back-pack. (it goes on pretty much every trip with me– it folds into a little-bitty pouch which is great for travel!)
From a beauty perspective, I’m going pretty low-key. Tinted sunscreen and oil for body / hair since it will much drier than what we’re used to. Have you guys tried the tinted Burt’s Bees? It’s awesome…nice amount of coverage and very moisturizing.
That’s about it! I’ll be posting plenty of pictures on Instagram (savoringsaturdays) should you care to follow along 😉
