The Little Things

offline

That’s going to be me next week folks. Floating away in pure bliss. Well, we’re actually having a problem with flesh-eating bacteria in the water and shark attacks, so maybe I’ll stay on the shoreline? 😉

I’m off of work next week and it probably won’t come as a surprise to you that I’m SUPER excited about it. We have friends coming to town and I’m looking forward to seeing them and having a nice “staycation.” That’s something that K and I really don’t do enough of- we usually spend our vacation time traveling elsewhere, but it will be nice to lay low and spend some time at home. I love entertaining and I hope the storms we’ve been having recently stay far away and it cools off a little as I’ve built an itinerary for our friends that involves lots of outdoor fun.

One may wonder why anyone would choose to visit Florida in the summer…? 😉 (V- if you ever read this, I’m so happy you did)

I mentioned in this post a few weeks ago that I had an enlightening conversation with a stranger at the grocery store who inspired me to be appreciative of the little things that make me happy. I’ve kept my promise to him- here were mine this week…(and yes, I realize many of these weekly photos are related to booze, but this blog is a judgment free zone)

Here’s to friends, fun in the sun, and attempting to go an entire week without checking work e-mail. (doubtful) Have a nice weekend everyone xo
