I discovered Caudalie Divine Oil a few months ago thanks to Sephora Favorites Summer Crushes kit. (a collection of their best-selling summer products- this is a great way to try new things)
I was curious as to how to use this oil as it said it was for body, face and hair. It seemed strange to me that what I could put in my hair and on my body could also be used on my face? Something about putting oil on the face is not overly appealing, but I’ve come to discover that it really doesn’t make me break out at all.
What it is- A French brand, Caudalie’s Divine Oil contains a blend of grapeseed, hibiscus, sesame, and argan oils and contains no parabens, sulfates or phthalates. The founders came up with the idea for the line after seeing all of the unused grapeseed oil from their vineyards in Bordeaux. As well as being an excellent moisturizer, grapeseed oil has long been touted for it’s anti-acne properties (thanks to the linoleic acid that it’s rich in) as well as containing astringent that helps to reduce swelling.
Why I love it- This dry oil is unbelievably luxurious- it goes on silky smooth and leaves your skin so soft. The best part is that it isn’t at all greasy and smells well, divine. It has become my favorite after shower moisturizer. I tend to use it mainly on my body and dry parts of my face, but will sometimes apply to the ends of my hair to use up the products on my hands.
Cost- 3.4 oz size retails for $49/1.7 oz for $32.
