So Long Summer

I’m aware that a so long summer post seems a little ridiculous when Halloween is just days away, but it’s been so warm that it simply hasn’t felt AT ALL like fall. Don’t get me wrong, there are plenty of advantages to living somewhere with mild winters- I love that we never have to deal with snow, ice and cabin fever. But for some reason, the older I get, the more I miss having true seasons. I live for the days you can open the windows and air the house out and enjoy dining al fresco. Luckily, the universe has finally caught up with the fact that it’s almost November and we’re finally about to get some cooler weather. (it doesn’t seem right to burn fall candles and get into the pumpkin mood when you still have your AC on, ya know?)

So, here it is, the end of October- Labor Day has come and gone and I’m just now saying SO LONG SUMMER. 🙂 I can’t say I’m sorry to see you go, but you were full of good times and great memories, and I’ll probably be writing about how much I miss you when I turn pasty white come February…until then xoxoxo
