Happy Halloween

trick or treat

Happy Halloween! Everyone else sugared up yet?? No? Too early? Our office has been chock-full of candy for the past 3 days and I’m still twitching. I have an aggressive to-do list to accomplish today, so maybe a handful of M&M’s with my coffee will help.

We’re hosting some friends and family this evening for a low-key night of scary movies and homemade beer cheese soup.

I am still trying to find the perfect Halloween cocktail…this one looks pretty fun, but where on earth do you buy gummy brains? Sunday my parents and some family friends will be coming to town and spending a few days with us. I’m having a record year for house guests 🙂

Halloween weekend always means 2 things; Florida vs. Georgia weekend, which is a BIG deal ’round these parts…go Gators! And daylight savings- enjoy that extra hour on Sunday!

Have a great weekend.

  1. I love the Negroni and the Kir. I would put the slimmest twist of lemon or orange in the Kir to give it additional punch. As for the Negroni, try vodka instead of tequila and if you can’t find gummy brains at this late date, try blackberries that you dip briefly in confectionary sugar/lemon juice icing – not to fully cover….just to try to achieve brain like looks. A little dip in granulated sugar (or a little of both) might work too. Let me know if you try it. Enjoy your Halloween, Jules.
