Get Glowing Skin in 15 Minutes
I was in New York a few months ago talking to a hotel concierge about where to grab dinner. Instead of paying attention to the directions she was giving me, I was focusing on how gorgeous her skin was. It was radiant- smooth and dewy and I stopped her mid-sentence and told her that I needed to know exactly what products she used. She laughed and listed off what was in her make-up bag, but said that her secret weapon was Tata Harper’s Resurfacing Mask. She explained that she uses it twice a week religiously. Being the impulsive beauty product junkie that I am, I immediately whipped out my phone and ordered it.
The Tata Harper brand is a 100% natural and non-toxic line and is a beauty blogger / beauty editor favorite, so I wasn’t all that surprised when she told me how much she loved it. (it’s an award-winning mask) And while I obviously realize that genetics play a huge role here, I’m all for trying something that makes your skin glow like that of a 20 year old.
My little jar of hope arrived a week later and I was so excited to use it that I ripped open the box and ran upstairs to try it out.
Unlike many masks, this one is light-weight and almost looks like a cross between a gel and a cream. It’s actually considered a beta-hydroxyl peel so I was crossing my fingers that it didn’t irritate my sensitive skin.
I applied it to my face and waited 15-30 minutes before rinsing it off. While waiting for my timer to buzz, I went online and did a little reading about how the mask promises to deliver “an instant solution for dull skin, leaving skin feeling smooth, looking fresh, and glowing.” Sounds good to me.
One of my favorite things about peels is that they can instantly improve your skin texture. (albeit temporarily) I look for masks that smooth out and firm up my skin, without irritation and dryness.
The Tata Harper Resurfacing Mask fit the bill perfectly- it tingled for a minute or two, but the sensation quickly subsided. When I rinsed it off my skin didn’t feel at all tight or dry, and best of all- my pores looked much smaller. (win!) When I applied my foundation, I noticed that it went on really smoothly, and looked slightly airbrushed, even without primer.
I’ve been using it when going out in the evening on weekends, or anytime my skin looks a little dull and drab. My shining moment was when I was out to dinner with a girlfriend and she commented that my skin looked good. 🙂 (I’d used it that afternoon)
This was in no way a sponsored post (I’ll always let you know when it is) – I regularly sample masks, peels and serums and while I like many of them, I only write about the ones I truly love. The Tata Harper Resurfacing Mask definitely falls into that category- give it a try and see for yourself!
